About Us
Potomac Bassmasters of Virginia is one of the oldest bass angling clubs in the greater Washington, D.C., area. We have approximately 20 members who are passionate about bass fishing, conservation and youth angling. The club is a not-for-profit organization and our funding comes through membership dues.
We hold our club tournaments on the Potomac and at other regional locations. Most of our tournaments are one-day events, however on occasion we have two-day tournaments. In additional to club tournaments, we sponsor an annual youth fishing derby and support various community events. Each year we also organize a year-end awards banquet and a mid-year barbeque to bring members together in a social setting.
The club is always looking for new members -- regardless of angling experience or skills level, and you do not need to own a boat.
