2011 Tournament Schedule/Results
April 9 - Lake Anna August 6 - Potomac
May 6/7 - Kerr Lake September 10 - Cancelled
June 4 - Potomac October 8 - Potomac
July 9 - Potomac November 5 - Potomac
Potomac Bassmasters of Virginia holds approximately
seven to ten club tournaments a year. A typical tournament season begins in
March / April and ends
in November. The Potomac River is our home water but we have held club events
in northern and southern Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland, Delaware and other
regional locations. Tournament destinations are selected by the members prior
to the start of the tournament season. Each club
tournament is a lottery-draw format that randomly pairs boaters and non-boaters. This
format allows for boating partners to rotate, which helps build friendships
among members and facilitates the exchange of angling knowledge and information.
Please access the Tournament
Rules link below for the tournament regulations, format and general
information on being a boater or non-boater (Co-angler). If a member
participates in all the club tournaments, the lowest score/tournament result
will automatically be dropped at the end of the season. The remaining tournament
scores will then be tabulated to determine the final year-end standing.
Launch site for club tournaments held on the Potomac River
is Pohick Bay Regional Park, 6501 Pohick Bay Drive, Lorton, VA. Launch sites for other
tournaments are announced at club meetings. Click HERE for Tournament Rules.
